Be aware that some car removal companies offer to pay large amounts of money for the car wreck standing in your back yard. Is that wreck out there really worth so much money?!
When searching in Google for "Cash for Cars", you can find offers of $10,000 dollar for an old car. This would mean that those companies would get at more than that when they sell it again. Is your car really worth that much money as scrap metal or as a used car?
Give them a call
If possible give the towing company a call before they come to your place. Ask them what they can guarantee as a minimum payment. However, be aware that once they rock up, they might tell you that your car is an exception and that it is only worth a couple of hundreds of dollars, or even less.
Extra costs for towing
Even if a company is willing to pay a large amount of money for your car, then there is still the possibility that they will charge you for towing, administration and other items, which will seriously diminish the amount they have to pay you.
Local is more secure
Like with everything else in life, there is no easy way to make money especially not from an old wreck that is hardly usable anymore. It is therefore better to call a local business to tow your car. They tend to give local clients a good deal and are aware of their reputation in the local community.
